How to get rid of section break without losing formatting

As a student, the papers you have to write can make or break your grade. Writing an effective essay requires considerable effort. This will prevent any changes you make to the page numbers on the landscape pages from affecting the numbering on other pages. Things like editing, formatting, correcting grammar and spelling mistakes all need to be taken into account and handled with assurance. Click Link to Previous to break the link to the previous (landscape) section. This will still have a Same as Previous label. Still on the Header & Footer tab, click Next to go to the next (portrait) section header. The Same as Previous label should disappear. You have disconnected the headers and footers in the sections prior to and following the current section of pages. to break the link to the previous (portrait) section. On the Insert Ribbon, in the Header & Footer Group, click on the arrow below the HeaderВ icon and select Edit Header.

Click in the first page of the new section.

Section breaks also allow putting different text and different types of page numbering in the headers and footers for different sections. Select and delete the page break you inserted in step 2. Word applies to the last section the column formatting that you accepted in step 17 for the next-to-last section. Section breaks are used at the end of chapters or other parts of the document that require individual formatting. Place the insertion point just after the final section break.
